WHO ARE MARION PODIATRY?

Marion Podiatry is a podiatry practice conveniently located at Westfield Marion Shopping Centre in Oaklands Park and comprises the services of Valerie C Dobie, Jenni Brown and Kristian de Pasquale. Appointments can be made by phoning 8298 1133 and asking for an appointment at Marion.

Valerie Dobie has some limited consulting times at the Kalyra Heights Retirement Village at 54 Gloucester Road, Belair. These times are open to the community as well as Kalyra residents. Appointments can be made by phoning 8298 1133 and asking for an appointment at Kalyra.

Valerie C Dobie

Valerie consults at Marion on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Valerie will be on extended leave from July until September and her professional commitments will be met by Brenda Tonkin, an accredited podiatrist with strong experience in private practice.

Valerie graduated in 1971 from SAIT, now UNISA, and has been providing foot health services in the southern suburbs for 30 years. Valerie is accredited with the Australasian Podiatry Council and has a commitment to continuing education.

Currently teaching commitments include Clinical Practice at the University of South Australia covering Local Anaesthetics, Nail Surgery and has been involved in Gerontology, Practice Management and Podiatric Surgery Infection control at post graduate level.

Post Graduate Education has more recently included a Graduate Diploma in Gerontology, converted to a Master's degree in the 90's reflecting an interest in older people and their foot health needs.

Brenda Tonkin

Brenda Tonkin is an accredited podiatrist with strong experience in private practice. Brenda commences at Marion Podiatry on 21 July and will consult two days a week on Monday and Thursday. Brenda will be Valerie Dobie's locum from July until September during a period of extended leave.

Jenni Brown

Jenni consults at Marion on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Jenni Brown, Bachelor of Podiatry, is a graduate of University of South Australia, and joined the practice in early 2006 having spent the previous year working in the National Health Service in United Kingdom with some travelling in between.

Jenni's interest is mainly in Diabetes, Aged care and general foot problems found in the community. Jenni works in an aged care facility for the balance of week and has experience of working in a community health setting in rural Victoria

Kristian de Pasquale

Kristian consults at Marion on Wednesday.

Podiatric Assistants

Denny and Signe have both worked in the practice for at least 6 years or more. A friendly and helpful team, they know both the bookkeeping and infection control systems of the practice very well. Our podiatric assistants have both attended and successfully completed Podiatric Assistants' Course run by the Australian Podiatry Association.
