Marion Podiatry comprises the professional services of Valerie C Dobie, Jenni Brown and Kristian de Pasquale and locum podiatrist Brenda Tonkin. Valerie Dobie and Kristian de Pasquale and locum podiatrist Brenda Tonkin are accredited podiatrists with the Australasian Podiatry Council.

Valerie C Dobie

Valerie consults at Marion on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Valerie graduated in 1971 from SAIT, now UNISA, and has been providing foot health services in the southern suburbs for 30 years. Valerie is accredited with the Australasian Podiatry Council and has a commitment to continuing education. Her current teaching commitments include Clinical Practice at the University of South Australia covering Local Anaesthetics and Nail Surgery. Valerie has been involved in Gerontology, Practice Management and Podiatric Surgery Infection control at post graduate level. Post Graduate Education has more recently included a Graduate Diploma in Gerontology, converted to a Master's degree in the 90's reflecting an interest in older people and their foot health needs. Valerie is a Fellow Australasian College of Podiatric Surgeons.

Valerie will be on leave in early March 2010. Locum Brenda Tonkin will cover Valerie's commitments during this time.

Brenda Tonkin

Brenda Tonkin is an accredited podiatrist with strong experience in private practice. Brenda will be Valerie Dobie's locum during March 2010.

Kristian de Pasquale

Kristian de Pasquale, Bachelor or Podiatry, is a recent graduate of University of South Australia and is accredited with the Australasian Podiatry Council. He joined the practice in 2008 and consults only on Wednesday morning. Kristian's past experience includes a year of high risk management at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Kristian currently works in sports medicine as well as general podiatric care for the remainder of the week.

Jenni Brown

Jenni Brown, Bachelor of Podiatry, is a graduate of University of South Australia, and joined the practice in early 2006. Post graduate experience has included community health in rural Victoria, working in the National Health Service in United Kingdom and servicing all podiatry needs for Belair Kalyra Aged Care Facility. Jenni's interest is mainly in Diabetes, Aged care and general foot problems.

Podiatric Assistants

Signe and Denny have worked in the practice at least 9 years or more. A friendly and helpful team, they know both the bookkeeping and infection control systems of the practice very well. Our podiatric assistants have both attended and successfully completed Podiatric Assistants' Course run by the Australian Podiatry Association.

Marion Podiatry is conveniently located at the Westfield Marion Shopping Centre, just off Diagonal Road in Oaklands Park, South Australia. Appointments can be made by phoning 8298 1133 and asking for an appointment at Marion.
